BACKGROUND
Caregivers go through a lot of pressure, mentally and physically challenging daily tasks that have proven to damage their health over time. A direct result of caregiving.
INSIGHT
Oftentimes, the caregivers accompany patients to medical checkups and appointments, causing them to spend a lot of time at hospital waiting rooms.
SOLUTION
Meet Caroline. A chair caring for caregivers. It is designed to provide relaxation whilst conducting medical tests that caregivers rarely have time to do themselves.
EXECUTION
These multi-purpose chairs would be installed in waiting rooms of hospitals where caregivers can enjoy some much-needed downtime by watching a short movie. Throughout the movie, they would be prompted to answer a few questions that act as vision, hearing, and stress tests. The armrest of the chair will be utilized to gauge heart rate, as well as blood pressure, and the chair itself, will be fitted with sensors that analyze posture to test spinal strength

CARE FOR YOU,
WHILE YOU WAIT FOR THEM

Upon finishing the movie, the test would also be complete, after which the caregiver will receive an on screen analysis with recommendations of doctors in that very same hospital that they can schedule consultations with during their next visit.
With Caroline, the caregivers will be given a chance to use some time for themselves and be encouraged to pay attention to their own health. So while they care for their loved ones, Caroline will take care of them.
